She came to us as a kitten, with two other kittens who were adopted. Dakota falls into two categories that have slowed her chances for adoption, she is a black cat, and she is a shy cat. She tends to become invisible when new people come into the shelter. However, Dakota is friendly, if you approach her somewhat slowly, she loves to pet and will even lean into your hand as you do. Dakota also enjoys peace, quiet, and consistency. Most days she can be found in the same room (rm 5) handing out with the same cats (Grommet and Salem). She loves those two cats, they have formed a beautiful bond, that helps them all feel safe and accepted.
